Silver Dreams

Spent the weekend rather restless with the art projects. Couldn't really seem to settle down to one project. I did take a glimpse somewhere on line where someone talked about painting aluminum foil with inks or acrylics. So I took some foil out of the drawer, crumpled it, layed it flat again, and randomly dropped Dr Ph Martin Bombay inks all over it and then wiped them in with a paper towel. Turned out pretty neat. I took some of the foil and glued it over a small piece of mat board (about 4x4). This would be the result!

. . . and if the trains of time you can get to work by nine . . . .

double post in one day . . .

forget about, now I post twice in one day . . . another little peace of art. For some reason now all I can think of is "tiny dancer" . . . And now she's in me, always with me, tiny dancer in my hand . . . Elton John . . . wasn't thinking of it at the time I created it, works good though doesn't it :*)

Why . . .

do I keep forgetting about my Bloger? Silly me! I shall try to be better at that. I created some new art to share. This particular piece is John 14:27-29 . . . comfort in art . . although I don't speak one word of French, I did choose to have the Bible verse in French . . . doesn't matter that I can't read it, I do know what the message is :*)

My Peace of Art . . .

My journey in mixed-media art began in the summer of 2004. I started out rubber stamping, and during a search for different stamps to use, I ran accross these link www.artchixstudio.com I order a couple sets of stamps. With these stamps came some free collage sheet images. Well, I quickly came to love cutting images, adhereing to various backgrounds, and thus, it all began! Helga who owns ARTchix studio along with her husband James has been very inspirational and extemely incouraging. Another haven for me in the big world of art is the Yahoo group for ARTchix Studio. The members of this group seem so much like family, and it feels like I have known them for ever. Funny thing to feel so close to several people you have never met in person!

I also have another yahoo group that quickly became a group of warm and cherished friends. Most of the members of this group are also ARTchixies too! We have been busy creating various types of swaps and contests amongst ourselves. It is also a place we meet to laugh and cry together. Again, another virtual family!
